Shurwayne Winchester

Shurwayne Winchester began his road to Soca stardom at a young age while still being raised by his parents on the small island of Tobago.  His dedication and energy has afforded him many awards and great opportunities.  In 2004, Shurwayne had carved a niche for himself as a crooner to the ladies but when he released “The Band Coming,” he won the title of the Carnival “Road March King” – winning again the following year with the song, “Dead or Alive”.  He was also among the first people called to travel with Trinidad & Tobago’s football team to Germany for the World Cup as a part of the Official Trinidad & Tobago Cultural Delegation.  Today, Shurwayne Winchester continues to shatter musical barriers with his band, Y.O.U. (Yes One Unit) which he formed in late 2008.
